SEAIEA Visit to the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA)

In September 2025, the SEAIEA core team visited the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA), one of Beijing’s premier high-tech zones. Home to over 30,000 enterprises with total investments exceeding USD 100 billion, the BDA serves as a key driver of innovation in four strategic sectors: next-generation information technology, new energy and intelligent vehicles, robotics and smart manufacturing, and biotechnology and health.

During the visit, SEAIEA participated in a BDA-hosted technology fair and established strong connections with leading companies in artificial intelligence, robotics, and medical technology, laying the groundwork for future collaboration between China and Southeast Asia.
